The Covenstead Whippets - Grand Forks, BC

since I last posted.  We moved to beautiful Grand Forks in June of this year, after almost 13 years in Walnut Grove.  The dogs loved the hot summer weather, having their own fenced yard to play in, as well as running free on the 88-acres behind us.

The boys were able to have a fun romp in the snow yesterday, in the 40+ cm of white stuff that is currently on the ground.  A rare treat for all of us, but I'm sure they would rather have a good run on the grass.

Since we've been blessed with sunny skies the past few days, the boys have all been getting a bit of training after work.  The local strip mall has covered sidewalks, so even if it is a bit damp out, we can still train in relative comfort.  I'm hoping this all pays off in a few weeks when we trial.

Finally decided it was time to show off the boys to the internet community.   We hope you enjoy your visit, and we'll post  periodically with updates on what in happening in our world.

Right now, we are trying to get ready for a Rally trial the weekend of December 13/14, with all three boys entered (Percy in Novice A, Pyro in Advanced A and Wylie in Excellent B).  Hopefully all three boys will finish their respective titles then.  If the weather would cooperate, training would be a lot easier!
